Nolan, A Mothers Reverie

He may not know how much I love him
Perhaps he never will
In my heart it's strong
Loved him then as I love him still

From that first flutter
Deep inside my womb
Tears of joy wetting my face
In the doctors waiting room

He visited me as a small one
A darling little boy spirit
Tears of joy wetting my face
Like yesterday I can hear it

Every year on his birthday
Making foods that he craved
From a recipe still in my mind
Preserved in memories saved

At my table set for four
Honoring the man he is in life
Places set with loving care
For him, myself, his son, his sweet wife
