Pain before pleasure can often work in
Though many scholars may be so in doubt
Saying that to skip suffering is such a sin
Let us see if pleasure first is truly so wrong
Test it out yourself if you desire to dare
Excess revelry in dancing drink with song
An attitude of not bothered enough to care
The party before the pains all set in
Pride that remains after the long slow fall
It wasn't such a disdained human sin
Was deliciously worth the pain after all
